There isn't a 'Now Playing' tab in Windows Movie Maker. Simply click on the > button under the preview pane to play the movie. Only one project at a time can be played in Movie Maker. Are you perhaps talking about Windows Media Player?
No. The latest version of Windows Movie Maker is v2.6 for Vista. However, there is an alternative download (for Vista and Windows 7 users) of Movie Maker called: Windows Live Movie Maker.
You can't download Windows Movie Maker on a Windows 8 tablet right now because Microsoft doesn't have an app yet for it. But the Microsoft company may have an app soon for it so this answer may be updated when they do have it.
There are three ways to install Windows Movie Maker 2.1 for Windows XP on Windows 7.1-First on Windows XP go to programs on C drive and copy the Movie Maker program file and paste it into your My Documents or Downloads folder. A copy of the Movie Maker program file should now be in your my Documents or Downloads folder where you have pasted it.Go to where you have pasted the Movie Maker file, right click on the file with your mouse and click send to zip folder. This creates a zip file with all the Movie Maker program files inside. Now to install Movie Maker 2.1 on Windows 7 you can either-1-Transfer the Movie Maker zip file from your Windows XP computer to your Windows 7 computer using Microsoft shared View or Team Viewer.Which lets you transfer files from one computer to the other computer. Or-2- Upload the Movie Maker zip file to a file sharing and storage site online like Mediafire. And then download it onto your Windows 7 computer. Or-3-Transfer the Movie Maker zip file onto a USB thumb drive from your Windows XP computer and install it onto your Windows 7 computer that way.Once you have got the Movie Maker zip file onto your Windows 7 computer using one of the three methods above. Open the zip file and extract the files to Programs on C drive and make a new folder. Rename new folder Movie Maker 2.1 so that it does not conflict with any other versions of Movie Maker you have installed. Now send the Movie Maker short cut to your desktop and click on it. And now Windows Movie Maker 2.1 is working on Windows 7. And the web cam feature will also work. But please note, you must have Windows Movie Maker 2.6 installed in order for Windows Movie Maker 2.1 to work. This is because Windows Movie Maker 2.1 uses some of the dill and program files of Windows Movie Maker 2.6 in order to run. But as long as you have Windows Movie Maker 2.6 installed, then Windows Movie Maker 2.1 will work on Windows 7.Windows Movie Maker 2.1 works on Windows 7 without any problems. And can be used alongside other versions of Windows Movie Maker,Windows Movie Maker 6 and 2.6.
No, Windows Movie Maker is a free download. But, the program already comes free with Windows operating systems. So unless your current Movie Maker is not working properly and you wish to download and reinstall the program again, you don't need to download it.By the way, if you own a Mac... you can't download Windows Movie Maker at all. Mac machines include iMovie software for video editing if I am not mistaken. (And I could be mistaken since I haven't used/owned a Mac for many, many moons now).
Sometimes an 'instance' of Movie Maker may be running behind Windows. The way to close any instances, is by doing the following:> Click on Ctrl+Alt+Delete (at the same time) to bring up the Task Manager> Click on Start Task Manager> In the window that opens, close any Windows Movie Maker applications you see(highlight the program and choose End Task)> Now, click on the Processes tab> If you see MOVIEMK.exe anywhere in the list, click on it and choose End ProcessThis will close all instances of the Windows Movie Maker program that may be running in the background. Now you can open Movie Maker again. This might need to be done on occasions when you receive a message saying Windows Movie Maker is already in use by another user.
First, import your pictures into Windows Movie Maker. Add them to the Time-line or Storyboard. Then click View, Tasks to enable the Task pane. Choose DVD from the left-side menu. A window will appear telling you Windows Movie Maker will close and open DVD Maker. Follow instructions on naming and saving, then click Ok. DVD Maker will now open with the movie (you just created) visible in the viewing pane. Make sure there is a DVD in the drive and click Burn.
It all depends on what type of computer you have. If you have a Windows XP computer or Windows Vista Computer then Windows Movie Maker should already be on your computer. In order to do this:- Click on start and then look for the search option and click on it.- In the box that says, "Search for files or folders named:" type in Windows Movie Maker.- Click "Search Now" and wait as it searches for the desired file/folder.- If you do in fact have Windows Movie Maker on your computer it will show up in the blank space on the right.- And finally you should be able to click on the Icon that says Windows Movie Maker and it should open right up. If it doesn't then you probably haven't downloaded in. And in that case you just need to click on the Windows Movie Maker download icon and it will download from there. If you have an older version of Windows then Windows Movie Maker will not be already on your computer. You will have to go to google or what ever search engine you use and look for the correct download for your version of Windows.Hope that this helps! You can also find the Windows Movie Maker program (if it is installed) by opening the Command Prompt and typing in: MOVIEMK.exe. If your computer has the program installed, it will appear in the list.
You can't do that with any version of Windows Movie Maker, especially Windows Live Movie Maker which is a stripped-down version of 2.6. Unfortunately, all editing must be done individually. There are no batching features in this program at all. Sorry.
Try downloading and installing Windows Movie Maker v2.6 again. There may be some program corruption. I've posted the URL to the v2.6 version below:http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=D6BA5972-328E-4DF7-8F9D-068FC0F80CFC&displaylang=enThere is also an alternative Windows Live Movie Maker download available from:http://download.live.com/moviemaker
You have to Finish the Movie/Publish it in Windows Movie Maker first, before you can upload it to facebook (or anywhere for that matter). Finishing/Publishing the video exports (converts) the project into a Standard Viewing format.
Deleting shortcuts does not delete the program. To find Windows Movie Maker on your machine (computer) first try this:> Click Start> All Programs> Windows Movie Maker (icon)If you can't find the program that way, open your Run Command and type in: MOVIEMK.exe into the space provided. The program should appear in the list that is generated.
First open your movie or Movie Maker. After you do this look on the right side and scroll down to number 3 with the title "Finish Movie". Now just press "Save to my computer" and follow the easy steps to saving your movie. After you have done all this go to a video uploading site like YouTube, and upload your video there.
