The 2003 Cadillac Deville oil pressure sending unit is located on the left-hand side of the engine. The oil pressure sending unit will be three inches above the oil pan.
Oil pressure sending unit is located by oil pan in front. Unplug unscrew and install new one
Yes, oil pressure switches are located on the side of the oil filter adapter housing.
on the side where the oil filter is located
It can mean you have low oil pressure and it can mean that the oil sending unit is bad. Do not ignore this and have this checked out by a trusted mechanic.
Check oil pressure with a manual gauge. Could just be a bad oil sending unit or low oil presssure due to internal engine wear
On the backside of the engine drivers side closest to the fire wall.
Back of the engine ,behind intake manifold, besides oil pressure sending unit...
Hey Oscar- this happened to me too, I replaced the oil sending unit on the bottom of the engine just behind the passenger front wheel but behind the engine. This will fix it.
Directly above oil pressure sending unit. Hard to reach, motor mount obstructs access.
Drop the fuel tank. Remove the fuel pump and sending unit assy. This is incorrect, the 2000 up deville has an access plate in the trunk, pull out the mat and it will be obvious you can change full sending unit and pump through it.
I've repalced a fuel pump in a 94 Cadillac STS and it required removal of the gas tank. The sending unit is on top of the tank.
It is attached just above the oil filter. You will need to put the front on jack stands. It is hard to remove and you need a sensor removal socket ($10 at autozone). The hard part is getting the plug off first. I am changing this now and when successful, will post full instructions.
