Mo chara does mean 'my friend' but in the context above it would be a chara.Also the correct way of writing the phrase is Tog é go bog é the go gives it the adverb . Well, mostly bog cotton has a short life expectancy - due to the fact it's in water. So it doesn't. It DROWNS. Hope this helps!
