Giorgio Moroder can claim three innovations that laid the foundations of house.
1. First, the dramatically extended megamix: 1975's 17-minute long orgasmatronic epic "Love to Love You Baby".
2. Second, the four-to-the-floor disco pulse rhythm: Moroder used a drum machine to simplify funk rhythms in order to make them easier for whites to dance to.
3. Third and most crucial was Moroder's creation of purely electronic dance music. Note that Donna Summer's 1977 global smash "I Feel Love" was constructed almost entirely out of synthesized sound; Summer improvised her gaseous, eroto-mystic vocals over Moroder & Bellote's gridlike juggernaut of percussive pulses and clockwork clicks. The result was acid HOUSE & trance techno avant la lettre, at once pornotopian & curiously unbodied.

After the demise of disco people started taking disco tracks in the early 80's and repeating instrumental parts so that djs could remix these newly mixed songs. Soon people started making originals that followed the same melody of these remixed disco songs which became known as house music named after the nightclub "warehouse" in Chicago. Eventually vocals became less important and music was made electronically.
