I think you are talking about cabohydrates, protiens and vitamins. Carbohydrates (go foods) will give you energy. Potato, bread, pasta, rice are carbs. Protiens (grow foods) will help your muscles and bones grow strong. Meat, fish and eggs are protiens. Vitamins (glow foods) will help you fight off illness and stay healthy. Fresh fruit and vegetables are glow foods.

Go Foods

Go foods give you energy and keep you going. They are carbohydrates. Processed sugar is a carbohydrate, but the more complex a carbohydrate is, the better for you it is. It is best to stick with whole grains and minimally processed carbohydrates. Fruits with natural sugars also contain carbohydrates. So does dairy.

Examples: rice, pasta, cereal, bananas, Orange Juice, yogurt

Grow Foods

Grow foods help body development. They are proteins. This can be growing taller, building muscle, or healing. Protein can come from both plant and animal sources. Meat and dairy are both rich in protein. So are beans, nuts, and seeds. It is important to choose your proteins wisely. They can sometimes come from sources that are high the unhealthy types of fats.

Examples: tuna, chicken, boiled eggs, baked beans, cottage cheese, hummus

Glow Foods

Glow foods give a healthy glow to our skin and a sheen to our hair. They are foods that are high in vitamin D. Vitamin D helps us absorb other vitamins and minerals, strengthens our bones, and aids our immune system. Your body can produce some vitamin D from being in the sun, but it is also in some fish and mushrooms. Dairy products are often enriched with vitamin D

Examples: salmon, flounder, portabellas, tuna, lichen, alfalfa, ricotta cheese
