Hi, Anyone interested in the manual for the Total Gym 1100/1700. This is the exact same thing ... minus the front cover indicating model for the Total Gym XL/1000. I spent alot of time hunting for this online.

Look for the on site link to the manuals. The old pages were replaced when they updated the models. Changes appear minimal.

By downloading the Total Gym PowerGlide owners manual, which has a chart in it, and by using the numbers in the website http://www.statisticool.com/totalgymmath.htm, I extrapolated the numbers for the XL and XLS to be, 6.5, 10.2, 14.0, 19.2, 21.8 and 25.9 degrees. Using the chart in the manual you can determine the % times your weight or just use the chart. Then you can either divide by 1, 2, 3, or 4, depending on the configuration of your setup. I don't know why this is such a big secret to TotalGym. I would think they would want people to know what weight they are using.
