I believe you are referring to the story of Jephthah, which is found in Judges 17. He was not a prophet, but a judge.

The Bible does not say that he actually sacrificed his daughter, but it is alluded to, and he may have.

The only account of God killing a wife was in the leaving of Sodom and Gomorra. But it was not

God's will, she died for not following God' order to not look back. Also Lot was not a prophet.
