From a historical standpoint it is commonly referred to as "ancient history" and lasted (roughly) from 3500 BC to 900 AD. To give a name besides "ancient history" to time before the Middle ages you would need to express it in geological Prehistoric periods, in which case you could say the "iron age" which lasted roughly from the 1300 BC to 1000 AD (you'll notice the dates are measured differently). The "iron age" was preceded by the "bronze age" and before that the "copper age".
It is basically a time period in the history of Greece ususally dated from 776BC which was the first Olympics and the closing of the Platonic Academy in 529 AD

Although a change such as the change from Ancient History to the Middle Ages is always gradual, the accepted date for the change is 476 AD. This is because 476 AD is the year when the Western Roman Empire fell to the invasion of the Vandals.

The so called period in ancient Roman history as the "Imperial" period began with Augustus Caesar in approximately 30 BC BCE and the removal of the last emperor in 476 AD CE.
Middle Age
The Classic Period in Mesoamerican history is generally considered to be from 300 AD to 900 AD. Generally speaking, research on this places much of what is now Mexico, as the center of Classical period Native American history.
No, none whatsoever. The Seljuk Turks were empowered roughly in the 1100's. Augustus was in power in 30 BC to 14 AD. The Seljuk's belong in the medieval period of history, Augustus in the ancient period of history
