Queen Mary of Teck was the great grandchild of George III, through her mother, Mary Adelaide of Cambridge.

Kaiser Wilhelm II was the great great grandchild of George III, through his mother Victoria, Princess Royal.

Germanys ruler during World War I?

Kaiser Wilhelm II. Interestingly enough, he was a very close relative of the British royal family, who thought it politically advisable to change their name from Saxe-Coburg and Gotha to Windsor in 1917. In fact they were cousins. Kaiser Wilhelm II, last Kaiser of Germany, was the Commander in Chief of the German armed forces throughout the war, but his Chief of the Imperial German General Staff, Erich Georg Anton Sebastian von Falkenhayn and his successor, Paul von Beneckendorff und von Hindenburg, operated semi-independently.

Did Kaiser Wilhelm live in Berlin?

He primarily lived in Potsdam, which is a city directly bordering on Berlin. His family owned several palaces there, including Sanssouci, Cecelienhof, and the New Palace (which was his favorite). When visiting Berlin, he would likely have stayed at the Bellevue Palace, which his family also owned.

Why was the German kaiser jealous of Britain?

Wilhelm II was a frequent visitor to Britain when he was young as lots of his relatives were members of the British royal family. His grandmother was Queen Victoria of Britain, his uncle was King Edward VII and his cousin was the future King George V. Growing up he would have seen the richness of the British Empire and it was only natural to try to emulate this for his own country. Germany did obtain an empire in Africa and the western Pacific but not as large as Wilhelm wanted. The Great Naval Race of the early 1900s was an extension of his need to do better than his relatives by trying to build more battleships than the British Royal Navy had.
