Book 6-part 2 of a 3 part sequence-The Return:Midnight
Book 7-part 3 of a 3 part sequence-The Return:Shadow Souls
i don't get that there is a 3 part sequence after the vampire diaries. like is part of the series or is it separate books with the same characters?
The original trilogy:
1. The Awakening
2. The Struggle
3. The Fury
The fourth volume in the original series:
4. Dark Reunion
The new trilogy, The Vampire Diaries: The Return:
5. Nightfall
6. Shadow Souls
7. Midnight
The newest trilogy, The Vampire Diaries: The Hunters;
8. Phantom
9. Moon song.
10. Eternity
After this trilogy there will then be one more which is yet to be titled, bringing the total number of Vampire Diaries books to 13.
the awakening, the struggle, the fury, dark reunion, the return part 1 - nightfall, the return part 2 - not sure of name.
They are good but not as good as the show. This is a different person talking and the return part 2 is shadow souls and the return part 3 is midnight and just saying that in my opinion the books are much better the books are more more action packed whereas the tv show is more killing than actual fighting like they kill but they don't fight.
there are 7 books so far under the name of the vampire diaries. they are:

07 - The Return Vol III: Midnight (2011)
book 8 is scheduled for publication late october under the name of The Hunters: Phantom.

02 - Stefan's diaries vol. II: Bloodlust (2011)

I hope you meant on the books series order :p
The first season of True Blood is pretty similar to the first book in the Sookie Stackhouse series but the other seasons do not closely follow the books and therefore do not have any corresponding books.
The book series by Charlaine Harris that True Blood is based on is called the Southern Vampire Mysteries. The publishing company is Ace Books.
in the books yes.
No it's not. The author behind the books Charlaine Harris, has not yet written the last two books. Alan Ball and the True Blood team does not consequently follow the storyline from the books. So it is possible that what might or might not happen between Sookie and hunk-vampire Eric in the books, will not be the same in the tv-series.
His character on the HBO series is not, in real life Alexander Skarsgard is not married either. In the 9th books of the Sookie Stackhouse series (which is what True Blood is based on) he does get "married" but I won't spoil the "who" part.

Tru blood is used by vampires in the Southern Vampire Mysteries books or the HBO series True Blood; so that vampires do not have to feed off of humans. It is synthetic blood and can sustain a vampire but many vampires find it disgusting.http://trueblood.wikia.com/wiki/Tru_Blood
No she only shows up in the series.
That would be the series of superbly awesome books by Charlaine harris, "True Blood".
