The most famous cowboy would have to be Jose Hernandez, but he wasn't a cowboy he was a writer, poet. He wrote two famous books of poems, that in time were put in one book called Martin Fierro. The reason that i think he's the most famous one is that the poems were about Gauchos (cowboys) in Argentina. In order for him to write about it, he became a Gaucho to experience that life.
