This is actually the reason that all objects fall to the ground at the same rate. One would think that a heavier object would fall faster because a greater force pulls down on it. But in reality, a heavier or more massive object will resist the change in motion more than an object with less mass. In the end, the force and the inertia always produce a downward acceleration of 9.8 meters per second squared. like my nuts
