5mg is a very low dose. But it is strong, oxycodone is about 40-50% stronger than morphine, and is 8 times more easily absorbed than morphine. I currently take 30 mg and you have to be careful. It will make you sick.
no 5mg is made end of story Actually this is incorrect, there is a 5mg just not in the US its used in UK and Canada. Please research your answer or don't answer if you don't know its found quite easy on a Google search... Anyway 5mg Oxycontin is 5mg of oxycodone just in a time released form, Oxycodone is the main ingredient in Oxycontin which is basically just a time released version of the Oxycodone to make it easy. Supposedly it will release 5mg of oxycodone into your system over an 8-12 hour period.
OxyContin (oxycodone hydrochloride controlled-release tablets, from Purdue Pharma) has been made available in 15mg, 30mg and 60mg dosage strengths in addition to the 10mg, 20mg, 40mg, and 80mg strengths already being marketed.
Oxy·IR immediate-release oxycodone tablets from Purdue Pharma in Canada were available in 5, 10, and 20 mg strengths. Effective August 10, 2009, Purdue discontinued manufacture and distribution of OxyIR Capsules.
OxyNorm is available in 5, 10, and 20 mg capsules, and also as a 5 mg/5 ml liquid in 250 ml bottles in Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands and the UK

Oxycodone Immediate Release 5mg
yes
Yes Oxycontin hydrochloride is a time released tablet and oxycodone ir is an instant release tablet.
its got 5mg percocet and 325mg acphetomine in it. To be more correct, 5mg oxycodone hydrochloride and 325mg acetaminophen. Percocet is a brand name, oxycodone is generic.
Orally, 10mg of oxycodone is considered equivalent to 15mg or morphine sulfate but everyone is different. Oxycodone isn't usually used medically by injection so a conversion is unavailable. 5mg morphine by injection is equal to about 15mg of oral morphine. 5mg morphine is probably about equal to 5mg oxycodone by injection. So orally, oxy. is stronger!
Oxycontin is time-release oxycodone. so, oxycodone would be instant release. YOu can scrape the coating off the OC 80s to make them instant, but ir you have an OP 80 then its stuck as extended release cuz purdue is replacing their stock with "unabusable pills"
I think you mean oxycodone. Percocet IS oxycodone (5mg) and acetaminophen (325mg). So youre question can't be answered.
No, it has nothing more than oxycodone. I have an allergy to Tylenol so this is what i was prescribed while I awaited surgery. Percocet has Tylenol, Percodan has aspirin and these are just oxycodone!!
It is not strong, although a good pain reliever. 5 is the percocet (oxycodon) and 325 is Acetaminophen (Tylenol). Oxycodone is one of your stronger pain medications, so take with food to prevent a queasy stomach.
it's a 5mg oxycodone
