There are lots of theories, but the identity of Jack the Ripper remains unknown.
his name was Robert.masterson in Gordon kormen's book titanic his legs failed and he went to NYC to have them fixed but a young stwerd named alfe made him drown and later alfe died of hypothermia.
//Jack The Ripper was not on the Titanic, he continued to kill east end prostitutes until at least 1891 and probably beyond that. Had Gordon Kormen done his research he would have known that.//
The unknown murder that we call Jack The Ripper was never caught/ID'd so we can't say for sure what his name really was. Everybody has their own opinion on who the Whitechapel killer was, me included, but true crime only deals in facts.
Nobody knows.
No one knows who "Jack" was, so we don't know his name.
As the ripper has never been identified this fact is unknown.
But some think that his name is James Kelly, but are not sure of it
jack the ripper was a name that the news papers gave this killer, there are a few people believed to be the killer but no one knows for sure. He was never caught.
//Actually, the moniker Jack The Ripper was used by the killer himself, not the newspapers of the day. To date, the strongest suspect for the London serial killer is Walter Richard Sickert, who has been linked with Jack the Ripper by DNA matches.//
The true identity of Jack the Ripper was never proven, so we do not know his real name.
The Whitechapel killer most definitely had a flare for the dramatic. The name 'Jack The Ripper' most likely came from the killer himself. On September 17, 1888, the Metropolitan Police received the first of the taunting letters signed as Jack The Ripper. This particular letter was judged authentic by the experts of the day, and it still remains among the few labeled authentic or most likely sent by the killer. As to who he was and where he came from has been hotly debated for over 120 years and still it remains a mystery. But as we know so much more about this type of killer there are some pretty safe assumtions to be made. The Ripper was most likely a white male aged 25 to 30 years at the onset of the crimes. He was very familar with Whitechapel* and was able to blend into the environment with ease. He probably lived close by or had dealings in this part of London (east end).
Over the years there has been an almost endless parade of suspects, most of them are improbable if not downright absurd. So the mystique remains around this killer of women from the late 19th century. I choose to remember his victims, impoverished and homeless, with few choices and even less hope.
*Whitechapel was the poverty-strickened east end of London.
To this day his identity reamins unknown..............Be Warned.
