It is Minnesota. Many people incorrectly think it is Maine, but Lake of the woods, Minnesota, goes further north than most people realise. You actually have to go to Canada to get to Lake of the woods, MN, unless you are able to navigate through the lakes by canoe (Which I have never tried, I hear it is sort of a maze)
