Angiectomy is the removal of all or part of a blood vessel. Arteriectomy (ar-teh-ree-ECK-toh-mee) is the surgical removal of part of an artery. (artieri means artery and -ectomy means surgical removal). Phlebectomy is the surgical removal of veins.
