Telephone Poles, at least the old wooden ones, come in three sizes... 30ft, 60ft, and 90ft.
When one is installed, 1/3 of it is buried into the ground, so that means that the part above ground would be 20ft, 40ft, and 60ft high.
(This is for the United States, only.)
The newer Cement and/or Steel ones are more customizable.

Telephone poles come 20, 30, 35, 40, 45 feet long with other sizes by special order. We used mostly 30 and 35 foot poles. or a 45 for clearance The dug hole for these were usually 4-1/2 foot for 20 and 30s. Slightly deeper, closer to 5 feet deep for 35 and maybe 40s. Diameter sizes were usually 5 or 6. 9 being the smallest diameter, I did see a 10 one time. A 9 that was 20 feet was about the width of one boot (no, not foot) at the top.
A 1 was seen more as a power pole, you could not reach the back of these with your arms extended and had to climb using the sides until you could reach the back, they could be 55, 65, 75, 90 or higher.
