heres the trick to the parking brake bypass procedure:
1. Go into Am/Fm mode
2. Hit "setup" on the remote control
3. Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number entered
4. A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen
5. Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen.
6. Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another. THIS WORKSSSSSSSSS
Yes! That's basically what the parking break is... a switch that turns it on and off.
So far (Nov. 2009) Dual has not released the permanent code for the 9101. The only thing you can do right now it the e-brake or a toggle switch. Happy motoring.
A how-to repair manual for the Dual XDVD710 would contain a wiring diagram for the device. This type of manual is available at the library and most book stores.
You know that is illegal right? Yes but that was not the question. Is there a code or can a toggle be used? No there is no code it how it's wired up. Ground out the parking trigger wire on the head unit.
If you're wanting to watch DVD's or use the rear camera while not in park, ground the pink "Brake" wire. Don't connect to 12v. Must ground it.

Try playing a DVD Press Stop Twice Enter 26604 Press Enter Works on most models..

1. stop the vehicle and make sure vehicle is in "park" 2. engage parking brake for 1 secound 3. release parking brake for 1 secound 4. engage parking brake permanently GOT THESE INSTRUCTIONS FRESH OUT OF THE BOX If you're looking for the code to override the parking brake settings, where the movie will play while in drive, this receiver has no code to override this. The only thing you can do is ground the cable to a grounded source(not to the parking brake mechanism) an install a toggle switch in line. Then flip the switch off for a second and back on. The movie will then show up on the screen. You'll have to mount a toggle switch somewhere in the vehicle, but at least that will make it play when the vehicle's out of park. This is so far the only thing I know that will work on this particular unit. If anyone figures out a way to modify the unit to work without a toggle switch, please let us know. I found this on amazon. I don't know if it works so am going to give it a try. somebody put a single filiment bulb in a dual receptacle socket or visa versa chech rear bulbs first
If fluid is lost due to component failure, you will get total brake failure (loss of all braking except parking/emergency brake) on a single circuit system. A dual circuit system will only fail in one circuit, leaving the remaining circuit working. It is therefore safer.
