What do you understand by programming model of a microprocessor?
Micro-Processor programming model refers to the Micro-Processor
system as
seen by a programmer. It involves the following:
The Instruction Set -
The Micro-Processor internal Registers -
The way Micro-Processor accesses the memory (Addressing -
Mode):
Micro-Processor 'Fetches' (reads) an instruction from
memory,
'Decodes' (interprets) the instruction, and then
'Executes' (carries out the task) the instruction.
It repeats the cycle for next instruction.
