Parasitism
An example of a predator-prey relationship near where I live is the relationship between hawks and rodents. Hawks hunt and consume rodents like mice and voles, acting as predators in this ecosystem. The rodents serve as prey for the hawks, forming a natural balance in the local food chain.
An example of a predator-prey relationship in the temperate grasslands is between a coyote (predator) and a rabbit (prey). Coyotes hunt and feed on rabbits as a source of food, which helps regulate the rabbit population. This interaction is key in maintaining the balance of the grassland ecosystem.
Both the newt and garter snake, along with the lion and zebra, are predator-prey relationships in nature. In both cases, one species (the predator) hunts and feeds on the other (the prey) for survival. This relationship is a crucial aspect of maintaining the balance of ecosystems.
The predator is the organism that actively hunts and consumes the prey, while the prey is the organism that is hunted and consumed by the predator. Typically, predators are higher in the food chain and have adaptations for hunting, while prey organisms have adaptations for escape and defense. The relationship between predators and prey is an essential part of ecological balance in an ecosystem.
Example: Lion = Predator Gazelle = Prey The predator seeks after the prey.
the prey is food for the predator for example an eagle is the predator and a snake can be the prey.
This question can not be answered
it means the organism being eaten by the other organism

Predation is the act of one organism (predator) feeding on another organism (prey) as a means of obtaining nutrients. A predator is an organism that hunts and consumes other organisms, while prey is the organism that is hunted and consumed by the predator. An example of a predator-prey relationship is the relationship between a lion (predator) and a zebra (prey). The lion hunts and kills the zebra to obtain food.

predator hunts and eats prey.
a predator eats a prey.
there isnt one exept one is the predator and one is prey
Lions and zebras have a predator prey relatiuonship. For example the lion is the predator obviously because it is the top of the food chain and the zebra is the prey because it get eaten. They aren't related in any other way.Actually there is, they live in the same habitat.
