The nucleus is the boss of the cell. It holds the plans , DNA, for gene expression and the production of ribsomes. And because everything functions off of proteins in which the ribosomes make the metaphor would be better understood as follows: The nucleus "the boss" sends out ribosomes (the product) which makes proteins (the money) which is used to operate (pay ) the organelles ( the workers)
