A Georgia state quarter is one of the coins minted from 1999 to 2008 honoring each of the 50 states and 6 administrative possessions of the US. Those honoring the states were minted in the order that each state joined the Union. Huge numbers of these coins were made and except for a small number of error varieties, any that you find in change are only worth 25 cents.
Georgia quarters show the minting date 1999 at the bottom of the coin's reverse while 1788 at the top is the year Georgia joined the US. The design shows a Georgia peach surrounded by the state outline, leaves, and motto.
All state and territorial quarters were minted at Philadelphia ("P") mint mark and Denver ("D") for circulation, while collectors' proof coins were made in San Francisco ("S").
