No you do not.
The idle valve is located under the intake manifold. It has to be removed from the bottom of the vehicle. Have a 2.6 Isuzu pickup and i had to replcace it.......hope this helps
It's a white plastic "door knob" part directly left of the air filter assembly.
Yes the pump is electric.
Where do you find the idle air control valve on a 94 s10
On the passenger side of the throttle body under the air intake
I ALWAYS USE A AIR HAMMER BUT YOU CAN GET IT OFF BY HOLDING THE WATER PUMP PULLEY AND UNSCREWING IT FRON THE WATER PUMP
If you have it in the defroster mode, the AC pump will run. This is normal.
Check the O2 sensor.
If it has one, you would find the secondary air pump driven off of the accessory drive belt up in front of the engine.
A belt driven or electric motor air pump pumps fresh air into exhaust system before the catalytic converter.
== try changing the thermostat. Make sure system is not air bound Replace radiator cap Make sure hoses are not collapsing under pressure
