Legally, the national anthem of Puerto Rico is that of every other state and territory of the United States and is called "The Star Spangled Banner". As every other U.S. state and territory, Puerto Rico has a state hymn which some in Puerto Rico who oppose statehood (Statehood only polled 61% in the most recent referendum) call their "national" anthem. Puerto Rico's state hymn is called "La Borinqueña". Here are the lyrics:
La tierra de Borinquén
donde he nacido yo,
es un jardín florido
de mágico fulgor.
Un cielo siempre nítido
le sirve de dosel
y dan arrullos plácidos
las olas a sus pies.
Cuando a sus playas llegó Colón;
Exclamó lleno de admiración;
"Oh!, oh!, oh!, esta es la linda
tierra que busco yo".
Es Borinquén la hija,
la hija del mar y el sol,
del mar y el sol,
del mar y el sol,
del mar y el sol,
del mar y el sol.

The land of Borinquen
where I have been born.
It is a florid garden
of magical brilliance.
A sky always clean
serves as a canopy.
And placid lullabies are given
by the waves at her feet.
When at her beaches Columbus arrived,
he exclaimed full of admiration:
Oh! Oh! Oh!
This is the beautiful land, that I seek.
It is Borinquen the daughter,
the daughter of the sea and the sun.
of the sea and the sun,
of the sea and the sun,
of the sea and the sun,
of the sea and the sun!

Puerto Rico is currently a territorial possession of the United States. Even though a territory of the United States, YES, Puerto Rico is considered an island nation. Since they are "part, but NOT part" of the United States. Over many years, despite the island's status, Puerto Rico and Puerto Ricans have build up their own identity and a strong nationality now seen and felt around the world. The mojority of Puerto Ricans, even with US citizenship, say that they are Puerto Rican, not american, and that Puerto Rico is their country, not the United States. Despite debates and politics, you can say Puerto Rico is considered a different nation. (Own national anthem, own national flag, own national olympic team, own Miss Puerto Rico, and other national identities that have made Puerto Rico its own nation) (Not a soverign nation though)
