The provincial flower of Ontario, Canada is the Trillium grandiflorum, which is native to eastern North America. It is commonly called the 'Large-flowered Trillium'. In the in the family Melanthiaceae, it is a monocotyledonous, herbaceous perennial. It grows in the shady areas of forests. The Trillium grandiflorum or Trille grandiflore has 3 or tri-petals growing above 3 leaves on the plant.
