There are many tasks running in the background which aren't displayed here. Those tasks are system tasks which can be found in "Task Manager" (right click on the clock and select "Task Manager"). On Task Bar will be displayed the major tasks opened by user as "Windows Explorer", "Mozilla Firefox", "Search Results", "Winamp" and many more.
