What is the main idea for James and the giant peach?

When James is orphaned, he is sent to live with two vicious and cruel aunts. One day, James is given a magical concoction by a mysterious man, who advises that if he drinks it, he will be happy with great adventures. He spills the concoction onto a peach tree outside the home and the tree becomes charmed, growing a peach the size of a house. As one might expect, the horrible aunts take advantage of the giant peach financially and continue to abuse James. One day, he ventures inside the peach and meet a group of gigantic bug explorers, who like James are ripe for adventure. Suddenly, the peach begins to roll away and James and the crew embark on amazing adventures.

What type of story is James and the Giant Peach?

James and the Giant Peach is a wonderful story about a young boy and his adventure to New York City in a giant peach. James lives with his 2 horrible aunts who mistreat him and make him do everything. Then he meets an old man who gives him a bagful of crocodile tongues, strange little creatures who make dreams come true. One of these things makes its way to the old peach tree in the yard, and a peach suddenly grows on it. It swells up and turns into the biggest peach in the world. James takes a bite, and a hole forms in it. He crawls inside it and meets wonderful bug friends. The peach is detached from the tree and rolls into the Atlantic Ocean. But the crew ties up a flock of seagulls to the stem of the peach, and the peach becomes airborne. Eventually, they all land in new york, and "live happily ever after."

What happens in James and the Giant Peach?

James a boy who's parents were eaten by a rhino, lives with his terribly mean aunts Sponge and Spiker, when one day a strange man gives James a bad of magical crocodile tongues, that will change Jame's life forever, all he has to do is eat them. But James drops the bag, and the tongues help an old peach tree and bugs instead. It makes a peach on the tree grow bigger than a house. The two aunts use the peach to try and get famous. James one night, while being forced to pick up trash outside, takes a bite from the peach when a tunnel appears going inside the peach. James crawls into the tunnel ( This is where the movie turns into a collimation), where he meets a bunch of bugs ( Miss Spider, Mr Old Green Grasshopper, Mr. Earthworm, Mr. Centipede, Mrs. Ladybug, Ms. Glowworm, and the silkworm) that are bigger than him, and they talk. Together they leave his aunts, by rolling the peach off a cliff and into the ocean. But when in the ocean a bunch of sharks start eating the peach so James forms a plan to tie a hundred seagulls to the peach. The seagulls lift the peach out of the water, and James and the bugs are on their way to a happier place, in this case, New York city. When they arrive they cause much confusion by landing on the Empire State Building. They safely get off and James and the bugs live in Central Park in a house made of the peach pit, happily ever after.

What is the solution of James of the giant peach?

While chopping wood one day, James meets an old wizardly man who gives him a small bag of magic green crystals that have the power to solve James' dilemma. However, James falls and spills them into the roots of a peach tree that has never bloomed and is told to get back to work by his aunts. Soon a peach appears on the tree and the aunts sell tickets to view it as it becomes the size of a house. Later, James is invited inside the peach by a cadre of insects, arachnids, and Worm--who all swallowed some of his magic green crystals and grew to become as large as James. Together, they roll away in the giant peach--leaving his aunts flattened behind them. Then, they float on the Atlantic, suffer 100 sharks, fly aloft under seagull power, and survive attacks by hailstone attacks, frying pans, and hair oil bottles from the Cloud Men. They finally arrive safely in New York City. During their journey, the buggy crew openly admires James' wit and cleverness, which helps to build his self-confidence.

Compare and contrast James life before and after the arrival of the giant peach?

Before the peach, James would always be doing chores all around. This was because of these 2 mean and cruel aunts names Aunt Spiker and Aunt Sponge. Aunt Spiker was narrow, tall, and boney. She has a narrow lip and a screeching voice. Aunt Sponge was fat. She was a short woman. She was the 2nd evil and cruel aunt of james. An old man came and gave James some seeds these were magic seeds. He slipped and dropped the seeds causing them to fall and touch the peach tree. After this, the peach tree had many peachers and one of them was huge. It kept on growing and growing bigger and bigger. Until it was bigger than the HOUSE ITSELF. Once the peach came along with his insect friends. They went on many adventures to new york, cloud men, sharks, and more!!
