I'm not certain that any particular flower represents peace and tranquility except for the Lotus which is favoured by many religions of eastern origin eg. Buddhists. For the Buddhists, the lotus flower represents not only peace and tranquility but also enlightenment. This is so because of the way the lotus often grows ie. from the depths of murky bodies of water which is symbolic of the enlightenment of the Lord Buddha growing in the darkness of the human mind. In western culture, the poppy could be seen as a peace symbol as it is used in Anzac commemorations. Generally speaking, it is more the colour of the flower that is of significance eg. white flowers are a sign of innocence and purity. Purple flowers can represent royalty, but are also used at funerals where they taken on a more sombre symbolism. Blue can be representative of calmness. Pink may represent lady-like gentility.
