Minotaur: A creature with the head and tail of a bull on the body of a man. It was locked into a giant labyrinth by King Minos of Crete. Every year for nine years, seven youths and maidens were locked into the labyrinth as well, for the beast to feed on. Until, the hero Theseus, after volunteering as one of the victims, killed the sleeping Minotaur by beating it to death.

1) In the books I've read that included minotaurs, male minotaurs were warriors or laborers, while the women practiced shamanistic magics and crafting, like making potions and such. In some books, they were even slaves to more dominant races.

3) A minotaur can stand anywhere from 6-8 feet tall, with thick, coarse fur covering the all of their bodies. Usually, they have darker (or lighter), thicker hair atop their heads, much like a humans, which they commonly braid. (Both males and females) They have large, bull's head, including the horns which vary in curvature, length, whether they point up or down and of course warpaint, which usually is applied as rings encircling the horn. Female minotaurs have the same stubby horns as most antlered female animals do. Also, they have a bull's legs, which they stand upright with. They have the torso and arms of a human.

4) They are quite aggressive and possessive. Quick to anger, impatient and often times competitive. One book I read containing minotaur affairs, a civil war was waged within an entire minotaur country. It turned out they forgot why they were even fighting.

10) I skipped a few questions because they were duplicates. Minotaurs were dangerous because they have great, horned heads which could reared back, and if one or both of those horns caught you in the ribs, or were slammed into your face, you'd go down awfully fast. Also, their great arms and large hands could easily throw a man clad in steel armor. Another aspect of their sheer ferocity is that it is said that an axe-wielding minotaur could split boulders.

11) They are known for aggressiveness and ferocity. They would not hesitate to slam someone headfirst into a stone wall, in fact. Other than that, they make great scouts and archers.

12) One weakness of the minotaur is a pole-arm. Pole-arms are weapons such as spears, pikes, halberds, and tridents. Sticking a pike into the ground before a charging minotaur is your best bet, and they'll also keep them a fair distance in order to stay away from their hands and horns.

13) Sort of a similar question as 4-9, but oh well. Their characteristics are that they tend to use axes and bows as weapons, seldom wear any armor (except for shields, occasionally.) Another characteristic is that they can go into a blood-frenzy, the chaos of battle erasing all reason and mercy. They smash through shields, break armor open, split swords, crush doors and other structures, and can withstand arrows, endure wounds and even fight while bearing a fatal injury for the duration of the frenzy.

14) I don't really understand this question, I'm sorry.

15) Mīnṓtauros, I imagine, since that is the Greek word for minotaur.

I hope I was able to help. By the way, you asked when minotaurs existed, and I will tell you that they are on the same list as centaurs, mermaids and griffins. In other words, they are mythical creatures, and (as far as our knowledge can tell) do not exist, and never have. My information comes from novels and Video Games, lol.

The minotaur couldn't track things very fast. He is very violent and cruel. He needs 14 people to feed him every year. Look at the story- The Labyrith
