The 9th Amendment states that the enumeration in the Constitution, of certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained by the people. In other words, the 9th Amendment emphasizes the Founding Fathers view that powers of government are limited by the rights of the people. The Constitution did not intend, by expressly guaranteeing certain rights of the people, to grand the government unlimited power to invade other rights of the people.

The 9th Amendment is simply a statement that other rights aside from those listed may exist, and just because they are not listed doesn't mean they can be violated.
The 9th amendment affects your life greatly. If it wasn't for the 9th amendment, no other amendment after 9 would be possible. Women would not be able to vote, people would still be slaves, and beer would be abolished.
There is no 9th amendment. Amendment's didn't happen until the Constitution when it was passed in 1789 and it has nothing to do with the revolution.
