Back in my country, when you break a plate , says it accident. And your heart beats fast it means someone you love or care about is about to get hurt. But it you break a plate by accident and did not feel your heart drum so fast then it means that someone backbite you or lashes kinda of a coarse at you....but instead of that negativity going to you it went to something breakable and when it breaks the coarse also break.....say a prayer right away coz you were protected. And the coarse went to whoever said it

It is called faulting when plate movement caused by tectonic forces causes rocks to break along a fracture or fault line.
Breaking a plate is often seen as a sign of bad luck or carelessness. In some cultures, it is believed to bring about financial loss or arguments. However, others may see it simply as an accident that can happen to anyone.
Why did the tectonic plate break up with the other plate? Because they had continental drift!
At the region between the two plates, called a transform boundary, pent-up energy builds in the rock. A fault line, a break in the Earth's crust where blocks of crust are moving in different directions, will form. Most, though not all, earthquakes happen along transform boundary fault lines.
A break in the earth's surface is called a fracture or fault. This can occur due to tectonic plate movements, erosion, or other geologic processes.
