That means put your hand on the 7th fret, and "hammer on" the 9th fret of the same string, basically put your pointer finger on the 7th fret, strum the string, then use your next finger and put it on the 9th fret without strumming
This is referred to as a "hammer-on". This would mean you keep one finger fretting the fourth fret (after you pluck it), then your next finger frets the 5th fret (without you plucking the string) causing a change in tone.
b means bend the string, 12 means to the tone of the 12th fret when un-bended.
E---------------------------------------------- A---------------------------------------------- D---------------------------------------------- G---------------------------------------------- B---------------------------------------------- e---------------------------------------------- each line represents a string of the guitar. if for example: E-----1-2-1---------------------------------- A---------------------------------------------- D---------------------------------------------- G---------------------------------------------- B---------------------------------------------- e---------------------------------------------- you would play the first fret on the low E string, the second fret, then the first fret again, in that order. does this help?
Your strings are known as eBGDAE with the little high pitched string being e and the lowest thicker string being E. I like to remember it as " easter Bunny Gets Drunk At Easter " The frets are the lines that go across the neck of the guitar. They are numbered. 1 being near the top, closet to where you tune your guitar. # Place your first finger on the second fret on the A string. # Your middle finger goes on the third fret on the E string. # Your pinky goes on the third fret on the e string. (Optional: You can place your ring finger on the third fret B string)

do a harmonic on the last fret which by last I mean closest to the neck pickup on the high E string so if you got a 24 fret guitar your highest note would be a variation of E in standard E tuning. On a 21 or 22 fret guitar it wouldn't sound as great but it would be your highest note. to do a harmonic lightly press your finger on the string and hit the string with your other hand , some people can do harmonics without moving their fingers off the strings how lightly they press but the second i hit the note i lift my finger off.
The lines on guitar tabs correspond to the strings on a guitar, so there are six lines. The numbers stand for the fret you should hold down on the guitar. Note that the top string on the paper is the lowest - sounding note on your guitar.
Here's the tabs: e|-0--| b|-1--| g|-2--| d|-2--| a|-0--| E|-0--| If you can't read tabs, here's the explanation: Out your first finger on the second string/b string at the first fret. Put your second finger on the second fret of the fourth string/d string. Put your third finger on the second fret of the third string/g string. Strum all six strings.
It means a capo on the 7th Fret of a guitar neck.
