If my turtle hasn't eaten anything I would be worried. Why don't you try to give it something new and if that doesn't work take the poor guy to the vet.
one solution well if you check the temp of your house then you might find that it is to cold for him and he is on the boarder of hibernation and not so he is not eating in preparation of hibernation so all he needs is a warmer habitat
i agree with her they might not be eating if it is to cold and also they might not be eating because they do not feel safe where you feed them they like to feel safe. and i also might think they are not eating because if you found your turtle in a certain spot and moved them in another spot that could be a problem.........
Yes how indeed? I had the same problem with my turtle but after talking to my neighbor who is a veterinarian, she said like humans turtles have taste buds and like certain tastes in food. She said i had to experiment with different foods, and see which she/he likes/ and that to increase her/him eating to put her/him in a warm situation like warm water for or a worm room depending on if its aquatic or a land turtle. so I hope this helps you guys thank you =)
a turtle has a VERy low metabolism, so therefore they can go for up to 2 wks without eating anything. if your turtle has grass in his cage/pen he may be eating without you knowing it. my turtle will almost ALWAYS eat worms, so if your turtle isn't eating, go find some knight crawlers & I'm sure he'll be in Turtle Heaven :D
No. You can safely eat it if you want.
No because my cousin has a turtle and it doesnt eat tomatos but i don't know about other ones I have a ''testudo hermanni boettgeri'' turtle and it eats tomatoes, but i think that he is alergic to them because he always sneezes after eating them.
Then he is probably depressed or lonely.....get him/her a buddy
Because the turtle don,t want to become a vegetarian anymore.
Actually turtle do not eat other turtles as their daily life food. Baby turtle may eat fish food from the store. Make sure that the fish food is really small though or the turtle may not eat the food. When the turtle gets bigger, you can feed the turtle green veggies. You can feed them different veggies too. Be sure that the veggies are soft because the turtle cannot chew hard foods, such as carrots.
Ningame or Ninkame depending on how you want to look at it.
you can eat an african sea turtle
Yes, if you took a wild turtle from where it was to a new place, there is a chance that it will not want to eat for a while. It will need to be left alone for some time before it will decide to eat anything.
An alligator could eat a turtle in its shell, and a shark could eat a sea turtle in its shell.
the book doesnt tell us what she did with it.
Turtles are generally not aggressive towards each other, but larger turtles may see smaller turtles as prey. It's important to provide separate feeding areas and supervision if they are living together to prevent any potential harm to the smaller turtle.
Try it. Get a turtle and a round small tomato and see if the turtle can eat the round tomato.
