Thomas Jefferson obtained an undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from College of William & Mary in 1760 when he was 16 years old, after only 2 years of study. While enrolled there, he attended the school of philosophy and studied many disciplines, including mathematics, metaphysics, and philosophy. He studied the law with George Wythe, and was joined the Virginia bar in 1767. Jefferson also holds an honorary law degree from College of William and Mary, and honorary Doctor of Law degrees from Yale College, Harvard University, and Princeton University.
