It's called the BMI, or Body Mass Index. It's probably an oversimplification but not too unreasonable to consider BMI to be a PERCENTAGE of body fat. Shoot for a BMI of between 5 and 10, that gives you a healthy 5% to 10% body fat... you DO need some.

A BMI of 5 means that a 200 pound man would have only 10 pounds of body fat spread throughout his entire body. That's not much.

A BMI of 30 would mean that the same 200 pound man would be carrying 60 pounds of fat. That's WAY too much.
