What is numeric processing unit?
The Numeric Processing Unit is a specialized version of a CPU,
it can ONLY preform math operations, but does them at a much faster
rate than the CPU. Because it is directly controlled by the CPU the
NPU does not have ANY address selection ability. Therefore , it has
NO connection to the address bus.
(Note hte direct connection to the CPU , in modern systems the
NPU is physically part of the CPU).
