Tigers are solitary animals that live in dense forests in Southeast Asia and Siberia. They spend much of the day resting and sleeping, and are rarely seen by people. Their diet consists of native deer, boar, water buffalo and smaller animals, such as monkeys and birds.
These big cats do not live in groups, and usually come together only for mating. Female tigers can have up to three or even four cubs in a litter, but most will not survive. After her cubs are 18-24 months old, a tigress will leave them to fend for themselves. Tigers need large territories in order to hunt and stay healthy; they patrol their areas and leave scent-marks on trees and brush to warn other tigers to stay away.
Extinct. The last known specimen of the Thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian tiger or Tasmanian wolf, died in 1936 at the Hobart Zoo.
Science has not yet found a way to restore this extinct species.
Being extinct, the Tasmanian Tiger, more properly known as the Thylacine, does not have a viable life cycle. This animal was a marsupial. Prior to its extinction, the Thylacine had a gestation period of one month, and the young spent another 3-4 months continuing their development in the pouch.

Tasmanian devils do not mate for life. Tasmanian devils are not even remotely monogamous. Even after the females mate, they are likely to mate with other males.
This is subject to some debate. Generally, most authorities consider the Tasmanian tiger extinct, but there are persistent unconfirmed reports of sightings, both in Tasmania and in nearby parts of the Australian mainland. This animal is also known as the Tasmanian wolf, or the thylacine. On the news, its said that the Tasmanian tiger is extinct many years ago. But the scientist found a Tasmanian tiger. They said that this is the first time an animal that is extinct has come back to life. __________ The Thylacine (also known as the Tasmanian Tiger and Tasmanian Wolf), became extinct in the 20th century. The last known specimen died in the Hobart Zoo in 1936. There is highly disputed evidence that a very small number may yet still exist in the Tasmanian wilderness, but nobody has seen, photographed or trapped one.
Being extinct, there is little known about the life cycle of the Thylacine, also known variously as the Tasmanian Tiger and the Tasmanian wolf. This animal was a marsupial. Prior to its extinction, the Thylacine was known to have a gestation period of one month. The young spent another 3-4 months continuing their development in the pouch before being transferred to a den. There, they were taught to hunt.
The thylacine does nothing now - it has, unfortunately, been hunted to extinction by its only enemy - man. The thylacine, also known as the Tasmanian tiger, ws at the top of the food chain, feeding on other live prey.
