The best way to go is with a 2010 Shelby Mustang Gt500; priced at $40,000 the GT500 can pull off a whooping 550 horsepower, and a 160mph speed. Packed with a V-8 hemi engine, it can pull of 510 lbs of torque. The Shelby's rivals are the CTSv (prised at $52,000), Porsche 911 turbo (priced at $70,000) and the Corvette ZO6 (priced at $50,000-- but not as powerful). It's the fastest but cheapest sports car yet!

my personal favorite is the 1995 hatchback Honda civic si

it also depends on how much you want to work on the vehical. You can get ahold of a lot of good older sports cars for a good price. But with any older car they are gona break down atleast a little. im a huge fan of the 300zx, the rx-7, mx-5 miata, Acura integra, Porsche 944, 3000gt. good luck and happy driving

There are many popular sports cars these days. The Corvette and the Mustang have new looks but are still classics. The Nissan 300Z is a showy car and pretty nice, too.
