The Joseph Smith story where this young boy went into a field to pray and the devil over powered him, the Jesus story when he was praying in Gethsemane and also in Genesis where it tells you about when we started in Heaven before we were born and a certain amount of people followed him and didn't get bodies and were not born into the Earth.
(to the previous poster)What messed-up Bible are you reading? FYI, The Bible means the 66 books contained by the combined old and New Testament, not the Book of Mormon or any other novel masquerading as the words of All-powerful God.
1. when Satan successfully tempted Eve to eat the fruit that grew on the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, so called because it gave any who ate it's fruit the ability to tell the difference between what is right and what is not.
2. when Satan found the most righteous man in the world, Job, and prompted events which took away all his possessions from him, including his health, to try to get Job to curse God. Satan failed.
3.when Satan tempted Jesus with various things (namely: power, food to satisfy intense hunger [as well as using his power selfishly to obtain it], and testing God's promises,) and trying to get him to sin, which would have an unimaginable negative effect on all the universe. Satan also failed here.

well, 3 i think (or 3 in you count Protestants and catholics 1 religion) so catholic, Protestant, and well Muslims as some of the stories told in the Muslim faith are from the bible ;D
Christianity is said to receive it's morals and follow the stories in the bible. Dispite many stories are meant to be real and some are meant to be symbolistic (you have to cherry pick them yourself) Yet stories in the bible are picked and modified from the old and new testament. But the old testament and it's 'god' yawha (not sure on spelling) is the foundation of the 3 monotheistic religions of Christianity, judaism and Islam. 3 religions from the same groundings with totally different belief systems!?
It is the devil's symbol. One day, the devil's son, Damion, will be somewhere on the Earth. To know if it is him, somewhere on his body there will be the 3 numbers, 666 on him somewhere. If you're a Christian, God keeps you safe from him.
