Before the Tudors came into power at the Battle Of Bosworth Hill, King Richard III was Plantagenet, as were the kings before him. When the Tudors came into power, they were fairly merciful; while they killed the male heir to the Plantagenet throne, they did not decimate the line- Lady Margaret Pole was the last Plantagenet princess, who was allowed to live in peace in a small Tudor castle on the border of Wales. The Wars of the Roses was a conflict between the Houses of York & Lancaster, which was decided at Bosworth in 1485. Henry VII was Henry Tudor.
