Without knowing the condition of the coin, and the type of error, there is no way to tell its value.
I'm a big coin collector and I'm going to to tell your the value of a 1945 penny in good condition! Good condition could be valued at about $0.05. Vg
All 1941 pennies are made of bronze which is mostly copper.
A 1943 Copper penny can be worth well over $100,000. They are unbelievably rare and very few passed inspection. In order to tell if it is actual copper, put a magnet to it, if it sticks, it is not copper and worth only $2.00.More, and correctionIt's likely that the coin is black because the zinc coating that protected the underlying steel has oxidized over the last 70 years. In that case your coin has value pretty much only as a memento, maybe 50¢ or so. As for the chance that it's copper, no additional 1943 copper cents have been found in over 2 decades so it's extremely unlikely to be one of those rarities. As the previous poster noted, use the magnet test to verify.
Itis hard to tell, but a good-quality penny from the 1960's may just be worth. One freaking cent. Get over yourselves. Try selling a penny for more than one cent stupid.
All pennies from 1944 have the wheat ear reverse.
It depends greatly on the year and condition. Without knowing those 2 things, it is impossible to tell if you have a 3 cent coin or a $300 coin.

If the coin shows lots of wear, scratches, and dirt it is circulated. If it is still shiny, with very few scratches it will probably be uncirculated.
In you search box of your browser, type in 1937 Wheat Cent and click on images, this will show you what one looks like.
At least $0.01 Australian.Beyond that it's virtually impossible to tell sight unseen. You would need to take it to a dealer.
You can identify a 1944 steel wheat penny by checking its composition. Steel pennies produced in 1944 were made due to a shortage of copper caused by World War II. A steel penny will stick to a magnet, as it contains mostly steel with a thin layer of zinc.
1915 penny how do you tell what they worth
Well, a penny in Lodon would be more value than it is here. Austraila, the value would be more. I think Japan has a lower currency than ours, so it would be less there I cant tell you exactly how much, but I tried to answer wi ththe knowledge I have - Tyler :D I presume you are asking about the American cent, often called 'penny'. The minor currency unit in Britain is the penny, worth a different amount from the American penny.
