I used to have a pain in my lower to mid right side (where the liver is), between the space between hip bone and breast for many years. Moderate pressure to this area would set my teeth on edge. I discovered through a water fast of six days that the whites of my eyes were turning yellow-- this is related, I promise. I went to the internet to find an answer as to why this was happening. What I found out was that my liver wasn't functioning well and that it was sick and full of toxins. The toxins were spilling out into my bloodstream contributing to my yellowing sclera. Several websites recommended drinking lemon water -- from fresh lemons -- everyday to remedy the yellowing ( jaundice) and to heal the liver. I took the advice, and I have been drinking lemon water every day since June of 2009. The pain in my side is completely gone. It took about a week for my eyes to return to white and three weeks for the pain in my side to go away. Treat your liver well and it will thank you by restoring your body to better overall health!! Try some research on drinking lemon water and healing the liver and other organs in the body. You will be amazed at what this simple little fruit can do!

If the pain is in the lower abdomen, it could be appendicitis. If it is in the upper abdomen, could be something related to the liver, eg hepatitis. You need to go to the doctor and check out what exactly it is.
