THe central nervous system
Motor nerves conduct impulses from the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) to muscles and glands in order to stimulate movement or secretion.
Neurons that carry impulses away from the central nervous system are called motor neurons. They transmit signals from the brain and spinal cord to muscles or glands, allowing for voluntary and involuntary movements to occur.
Sensory nerves are part of the peripheral nervous system which includes the cranial and spinal nerves. They bring impulses to the central nervous system which includes the brain and spinal cord. Peripheral means the sides and that is why the sensory nerves are referred to as the peripheral nervous system. All of the nervous system is related to the skin because both the nervous system tissues and skin tissues originated in endoderm during the gastrula stage of embryonic development. The sensory nerves form the link between receptors and the central nervous system (CNS). They carry nerve impulses from stimulated receptors to the CNS. They are also referred to as afferent nerves.

The central nervous system is composed of all of these nerves. The central nervous system is responsible for many of the reactions we experience daily, because it integrates the nerves and reactions from every part of the human body.
Afferent nerves process transport impulses towards the cell body, sending sensory information from the peripheral nervous system to the central nervous system.
The central nervous system consists of the brain and spinal cord. The nerves leading from the spinal cord make up the peripheral nervous system.
The name for bundles of myelinated axons in the peripheral nervous system (PNS) is "nerves." Nerves serve the purpose of transmitting sensory information and motor impulses between different parts of the body and the central nervous system.
The peripheral nervous system carries impulses between the spinal cord and other body parts.
