vicodin are about 2/3 as strong as tramadol but i found that the tramodal works better than vicodine if you HAVE taken them before This information is incorrect. The simple answer: Tramadol is NOT as strong as vicodin. Of this, I am certain, although I do not know the scientific way to explain it, trust me I have done my research.
i think that dihydrocodeine is a water pill so tramadol would be stronger
--------------------------------
I'm not sure what a "water pill" is. If it means that Dihydrocodeine is ineffective - then this is untrue.
The question is unclear. If the question refers to pain relief then this is dependant on dosage and the individual's metabolism, the type of pain etc.
Dihydrocodeine is generally considered an opiate with a strength in between codeine and morphine.
Reports vary and some people find it equianalgesic to codeine but many more say it "feels different".
Then other reports indicate it is between 1.5 times to 2 times stronger than codeine and more similar in effects profile to Hydrocodone (Vicodin, Lortab etc).
Some say their pain is better dealt with by DHC and others by Hydrocodone. For chronic pain often it is necessary to experiment with a few analgesics before establishing the best one for any given individual.
However, Tramadol is not exactly an opiate but a synthetic drug with some opiate like effects and other effects resembling SSRI antidepressants. It has low abuse potential and some find it unsatisfactory while others are quite satisfied with it.
As a cough reliever, DHC is stronger, as a pain killer, it depends very much on the type of pain it is prescribed for.
As an opiate Mu agonist, used for the relaxing and pleasurable effects (i.e. abuse), probably, DHC is stronger in a sufficient dose.
However if it is a lower dose of DHC being compared (like 10 - 30 mg), then Tramadol 50mg to 100mg may appear more sedative and a better pain reliever.
It is hard to comment without dosage specifications and even then individual body chemistry is the final arbitrator.
No drug works exactly the same way on different people.
there is no way that tramadol is stronger then hydrocodone! i recently herniated 4 discs in my back at work and have had my medicine juggled around by so many doctors. I have had tramadol twice and it did absolutley nothing both times. hydrocodone doesnt do much for me anymore, as i have been on oxycodone 30 mg's for a while now. but to answer the question, tramadol is a joke compared to hydrocodone.
Yes, but always check with your doctor before taking any medications.
tramadol
no it will not
tramadol and ultracet contain the same ingredient tramadol. The difference is that ultacet contains 37 mgs of tramadol where tramadol contains 50 mgs of tramadol so tramadol is stronger then ultracet
which is stronger morphine 5 or morphine 60
Because it is an opioid, much in the same way as codeine or morphine.
Yes it does. But not to the extent that stronger opioids do. It is much weaker than oxycodone, morphine etc. Constriction of pupils is most common when somebody overdoses on tramadol.
No, tramadol metabolizes into odesmethyltramadol after ingested which in turn has six times the potency of tramadol it's self. Being tramadol is a fully synthetic opiate it is not chemicaly similair to codine or morphine but has similair effects and action on opiate receptors as well as serotonin and neonepherine prduction in the brain.
TRAMADOL is a non-narcotic pain releiver, it is for mild pain releif, my fiance has taken this for years and works very well for her. But to answer you question is tramadol like morphine, that is like comparing apples to lettuce, they are both pain releivers but that's where the similarities stop, morphine is a narcotic, tramadol is not. do not know what else to say except once again most people i know say tramadol isn't worth having but if your actually hurting atleast to some extent tramadol will bring much needed releif
hydromorphone is a stronger version of morphine
Depends on morphine form. Solution stronger
dude definitely the vicodin. tramadol is not an opiate. so it's not going to be stronger than even the weakest opiate.
