Yes. It is essential Christian doctrine. It is the foundation on which the gospel of Jesus Christ rests. The Bible is clear that Jesus is the creator God (John1; Colossians 1; Hebrews 1; Revelation 1). Jesus claimed to be God in word and deed (Mark 14:61-62, John 5:18, 20; 8:58; 10:30-33). And vindicated his claim to deity by living a sinless life (John 8:46, 2 Corinthians 5:21, Hebrews 4:15, 1 John 3:5, 1 Peter 2:22), by manifesting his power over nature (Mark 4:39), over fallen angels (Luke 4:35), over sickness (Matthew 4:23), and over death itself (John 4:50; 11:43-44, 1 Corinthians 15) and by accurately prophesying God's judgment on Jerusalem through the destruction of the temple that occurred in A.D. 70 (Matthew 24:1-2;32-35).
A deity. The christian religion.
Horus.
Henry Henderson has written: 'The deity of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the deity and personality of the Holy Spirit'
The foundational doctrines of evangelicals are concerning the inerrancy of the Bible, the deity of Christ, the Trinity and the return of Christ.
Yes. Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the "Mormon" church) believe in deity. They believe in and worship God the Father and Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Check out the "Related Links" below to learn more about what Mormons believe.
The danger is misrepresenting him, if we overemphasise his deity we deny his humanity and lose our high priest who is able to sympathise with out weaknesses so Jesus becomes just another unreleasable deity, if we overemphasise the humanity of Christ we deny his authority and weaken the power of his words and belittle thetransformative power of his supreme sacrifice
im not sure what deity means, but i know that jesus prayed at 9:00, noon, and sundown. and he prayed all night before he taught the gospel
Not traditionally, but newer polytheist beliefs may include him as a deity, while some may not.
This question makes little sense.
God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are one god manifested in three persons; there is only one deity to worship. In one sense, worshiping any of them is worshiping all equally.
We are not deities any power that specific people in our community are not theirs but that of God!
They took the Deity out of the Christ. They changed the Sacred Scripture from the Holy Bible to Hitler's 'Mein Kempf.'
