No, in any guitarist's opinion, Slash would not even be in the top 50 "best guitarist".

Jimi Hendrix was the first great pioneer of rock guitar, and has influenced a phonomenal amount of other great guitar players.

Now I wonder how many great guitar players Slash influenced???

Slash is a decent guitar player but in the end he probably wouldn't make it very high on the list if real Guitarists actually voted instead of mainstreen music fans, as for the greatest guitar players John Petrucci and Yngwie Malmsteen beat slash hands down.

From a guitarist's perspective, Slash plays very basic guitar solos, slowly with really good sounding melodies which make them sound better to the average listener who isn't as knowledgable with guitar.
