This is a matter of opinion. You would have to go out and look at a few horses of each breed, maybe ride them if you can and see what you like better.
And also, you need to decide what you want in a horse. Arabs have great stamina, but Quarter horses are the fastest horses in the world, being clocked at 55 mph, but only over short distances. Also, Arabians are the most popular breed in the world, followed by Quarter horses in second. but, in America, Quarter horses are the most popular. Quarter horses are a more common western mount than Arabians are. And as a general rule, Quarter horses are calmer and more dependable, while Arabians are very high-spirited. HOWEVER, there are exceptions to every rule, and you will find some very excitable Quarter horses and some very calm Arabians.
no.. the Arabian horse is strictly a different breed. Arabians are the first known domesticated horse breed and many modern breeds have a base in Arabian bloodlines. Although some people consider Arabians to be high strung and hard to keep under control when they are excited, it has been proven that they are an exceptionally sensitive breed and many times are simply reacting to the energy of their handler. Arabians can be identified by their dished face, pointed ears, curved necks, high tail carriage and short backs. Quarter horses are available in a variety of sizes but are generally quiet and sometimes smaller. In an attempt to gain some size to the standard breed the foundation approved the cross breeding of Quarter Horses and Thoroughbreds. The offspring of this cross are known as Appendix Quarter Horses and can be as tall as 16.2 to 17 hands in height. The Quarter Horse is much more stocky than the refined Arabian. Originally bred to run quarter mile races, the breed became known as the Quarter Horse. There is a possibility that an Arabian and quarter horse have been bred together to make a half bred quarter horse and a half bred Arabian. This is known in the horse industry as a Quarab and is considered a sport horse. This new breed is gaining popularity in the endurance riding world.
Hope I helped :)
The Arabian is the most popular horse breed, followed closely by the Quarter Horse.
There are several, including the Arab, Akhal teke, Thoroughbred, Standardbred, Quarter Horse and the Tennessee Walker.
The cross between an Arabian and Quarter Horse is not actually a breed. This cross is more commonly refered to as a Quar-ab and although the AQHA (quarter horse registry) will not accept this cross in their registry, the Arabian registry will accept this in the half Arab registry. This means you can show your horse at Arabian shows in the half Arab classes. The Quar-ab is a very pretty horse. You get the beauty of the Arabian and the calm nature of the Quarter Horse.
The off spring would be 3/4 Quarter horse but would not be a breed. Actually, if the Quarab (QH x Arab) is registered with the Quarab horse registry and the QH/PH was registered as a PH, then you could register the offspring as Quarab or Painted Quarab (a Paint horse version of the Quarab. By the way, the registry of Quarabs has reasonable prices and you can look up it on the internet.
there are many breeds of horses, which include arab, barb, thoroughbred, andalusian, lippizzaner, appaloosa, quarter horse, and many more.
A quarter gelding is a male quarter horse without testicles. The quarter horse is a type of breed of horse.

If you mean another word for "Quarter Horse", there aren't any others. A Quarter Horse is a breed of horse.
A Quarter Horse is n all American horse. What a Quarter Horse really is, is a horse that can gallop at full speed a quarter of a mile without stopping. I hope this answers your question! [-:
It depends on what you want. I think an Arab/Quarter Horse cross (known as a QuarAb) is one of the best. But it really is personal taste. And what you want to do with him. Arabs and Quarter Horses are both very versatile. But so are many other breeds. I think the Quarter settles the hotter temperment of the Arabian and you get a good middle-ground horse.
The Quarter Horse is the fastest horse in the world for short distances, 1/4 mile, more or less. That's why they are called quarter horses.
