Lady Gaga is one of the many great vocalists who understand the voice & how it works; therefore they can manipulate it to sound a certain way. When determining someone's voice type you must do four things:
1)Assess a person's build (petite, average/ larger than average) by build I mean a person's bone frame.
2)Listen to the true tone of the voice. When they finish singing a heavy high note, do they seem tired or do they sound clear.
3) Where do the notes sound clear
4)Where do they sing in harmony with the music
Gaga is 5'1 & has a very petite frame similar to Christina Aguilera (5'1.5). Very small people regardless of what they say have a very light voice that can have alot of power I mean alot of power. When a person has a smaller body frame the sound they make will not be as large as a 5'4 tall person would.
Gaga's tone is light & bright; it only sounds heavy when she makes it heavy. After she sings a high note her voice is light not heavy.
When Gaga stays in the Eb4-F#5 & even beyond her voice thrives it blossoms, the notes are crystal clear.
When Gaga sings she harmonizes in the Eb4-F#5 range. Her voice is on key & the quality is unbelievable. She has power & stability her diction is at its best. Also Gaga has strong resonance in the upper middle register & upper registers
That being said listen to her vocal range collection on YouTube. She is a Full-Lyric Soprano.
Her past teachers (from convent of sacred heart, and TIsh) have spoken of her performance in plays plus her ability to extend her vocal range to soprano level. However, TODAY, she is an alto. Her voice has gotten much deeper since this video (frm 06/07) and smoking, drugs, and alcohol have had a huge detrimental effect on her vocals.
So right now, she is an alto. And will mostly likely remain that way.
Judging from listening to her songs she is really strong on the lower notes like, suggesting a natural Alto like for example Britney Spears. In my opinion she is a schooled mezzo soprano.
She’s Absolutely a mezzo soprano. If she was an alto, the range would be lower.
I would say she's a mezzo-soprano.
Alicia Keys is an alto. An example of a soprano would be Ariana Grande. An example of a mezzo soprano would be Beyonce.
She is an underdeveloped soprano. Her voice is light like a soprano, but is not developed like a true soprano. Very few women are true contraltos, a good example is Pink. A mezzo-soprano has a "darker" vocal quality, but not the depth of a contralto. Lady Gaga and Gwen Stefani are mezzo-sopranos. Vocal type is based on timbre or tone quality, not range. Many sopranos, such as Mariah Carey, have the ability to sing extreme low notes. ---- Because of the excessive use of autotune, you will never know. Allow me to fix some of this yes P!nk is an alto but so is Mariah.

Mezzo - half Soprano - high pitched Mezzo soprano - half high pitches Probably in the middle of alto
Charice is a mezzo soprano.
I would say she's a mezzo-soprano.

Alto & Mezzo-Soprano
Alto & Mezzo-Soprano
From highest to lowest: Soprano, Mezzo (middle) Soprano, Alto (Contralto).
In order, from lowest-pitched to highest-pitched, alto, mezzo-soprano, and soprano. The lowest note that an alto is expected to reach is F below middle C; a mezzo-soprano, A below middle C; and a soprano, middle C.
Yes, if not she is at least a mezzo soprano. She kinda talk sings it's hard to tell. But she sounds like a mezzo-soprano which is in between alto & soprano. An example of a soprano would be someone who can't go low, but can go high like Ariana Grande.
