Ecstasy (MDMA, or methylenedioxymethamphetamine) is cheap and not particularly difficult for a competent chemist to manufacture. An industrial scale MDMA lab could fit in half a large garage.
MDMA usually come in the form of small tablets, and a large quantity of them could be smuggled easily in a variety of ways. (Imagine all the ways you could smuggle in, say, a gallon of aspirin tablets over the Trans-Canada.) It could also be manufactured within the state, given decent lab facilities.
