Well, I was short about 7 oz on "special Dark Chocolate" for a truffle recipe and improvised using the following combination all melted together:
o two (2) squares of unsweetened chocolate
o one stick of butter (1/4 lb)
o 2/3 C of powdered sugar
o 1 T cocoa powder
The truffles got raving compliments, so I must have been close!
Enjoy!
it's hard.First you crab a fruit called a cacao. You take the white seeds out and let them drie for a few days. They will be drie. Then toast them. They will get brown.Grind them into a powder. Then they add milk depending on what kind of choclate you make. Then it is made into paste and added sugar. They are cut into bars and and refrigerated.
actually thats not it that will just make really thin chocolate milk, (water) melt cocoa butter on a double boiler and add cocoa powder, butter, and sugar mix and let set and enjoy
